Our Story

Who We Are

In 1984 Ryan Sales was formed as an independent manufacturer’s representative by Jack and Piper Ryan. Prior to becoming a manufacturer’s representative Jack was an employee of the G&W Electric Company Jack started in the electrical industry as a 21-year-old straight out of college. In the 12 years as an employee of The G&W Electric Company between 1972 and 1984, Jack held a variety of positions in product development, marketing management and sales management. Like many sales and marketing employees in the electrical industry, extensive travel, both domestic and international, was a part of the job.

After years of extensive travel, in 1984 Jack made the decision to leave the corporation life and he and Piper decided to open their own business. With the encouragement and support of the then owner and president of G&W Electric, Jack Mueller, it was decided that G&W needed a more focused sales and marketing effort in the fast-growing state of Texas. Ryan Sales was founded to provide that highly focused marketing expertise for that one company. Piper left her career as a travel agent and became the president of Ryan Sales while Jack continued to handle business development.

Over the last 40 years a lot has changed at Ryan Sales. Those two sons both graduated from college as engineers and are a major part of our sales and management team. We have added select, high quality, products and services to offer to a wide variety of customers in an ever-expanded and changing market. Also, Ryan Sales will continue to expand our personnel and products so that we can be a valued business partner to our customers and suppliers for years to come.
