SSC Style Dry GIS and Transformer Termination

G&W Electric’s Python® SSC style transmission terminations are designed for gas insulated substation applications on extruded dielectric cable systems rated up to 362kV IEC (345kV IEEE) . They are now offered in the conventional version and for 145kV and 245kV, the new Plug-in/Plug-out version. Along with the existing features and benefits, the Plug-in/Plug-out offers additional advantages.

Features and Benefits

Plug-in/Plug-out – Allows for removal of the plug and provides a visual disconnect of the circuit

Plug-in/Plug-out – A self-locking cable connection support cable weight for 5m with no clamping reducing the risk of system failing due to false cable hold (maximum cable size of 1600mm2 (3200kcmil)

Plug-in/Plug-out – The SSC140 138kV is available a Plug-in/Plug termination as well
