Gas Insulated Switchgear

G&W’s line of gas insulated switchgear is available with load break and/or fault interrupters and is designed and tested to IEEE standards. It’s ideal for harsh environments where submersibility is required for operation on distribution systems rated up to 38kV, 900A continuous current and 40kA asymmetrical momentary current. G&W best-in-class puffer switchgear are ideal for mission critical applications.

Trident®-S

Trident®-S is a three-phase spring assisted load break or fault interrupting switch with side mounted handles that can be positioned with a hook stick and can be mounted either vertically or horizontally. It is available with SafeVu, an innovative visible break built into the switch which eliminates the need to remove elbows or externally mounted components to provide a visible open.

Load Break Switchgear

G&W Electric offers a wide selection of padmount SF6 switches for systems rated 15.5kV through 38 kV, 40kA asymmetrical momentary, and 630A to 900A continuous current. SF6 gas provides excellent electrical and mechanical properties and offers many advantages compared to other dielectrics. Switches can be operated either manually or through various distribution automation packages.

Trident®-SR

Trident®-SR is an extremely fast operation with speeds of just 3.5 cycles. Its flexible design can be configured in a wide range of solutions for any applications. It provides high speed switching that is required for distribution automation using various control packages including Automated Transfer in under 10 cycles. It is available with SafeVu, the innovative visible break built into the switch.

Load Break & Fault Interrupting Switch

G&W Electric offers a wide selection of padmount load break and fault interrupting capability SF6 switches for systems rated 15.5 through 38 kV,12.5kA to 25kA fault interrupting and 630A to 900A continuous current. The fault interrupters provide electronically controlled, resettable over current protection in a totally sealed, submersible, dead front device. SF6 gas provides excellent electrical and mechanical properties and offers many advantages compared to other dielectrics. Switches can be operated either manually or through various distribution automation packages.

Trident®-ST is a three-phase load break or fault interrupting switch with single phase switched ways available up to 38kV.
