Transmission Line Conductor Monitor
The Lindsey Systems TLM is a transmission line conductor monitor for lines through 765 kV, used for dynamic line rating and clearance compliance, sold and supported in Texas and Oklahoma by Ryan Sales.
- Live-line installable through 765 kV
- LiDAR clearance-to-ground
- conductor temperature, current, inclination/sag, vibration
- self-powered
- Iridium satellite communications
Overview
The TLM conductor monitor clamps onto energized transmission conductors through 765 kV and directly measures clearance-to-ground via LiDAR along with conductor temperature, inclination/sag, current, and vibration. It is self-powered and corona-free, communicating over the Iridium satellite network so no field RTUs or communications infrastructure are required. TLM data feeds the SMARTLINE platform for dynamic line rating.
