JST Power Equipment was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Lake Mary, Florida. It is a global provider of transformers, switchgear and energy storage, with a line that runs from dry type and pad mount transformers to power transformers, medium voltage switchgear, outdoor substation breakers and packaged unit substations.
In May 2026 JST opened a transformer plant in Wytheville, Virginia, to build liquid-filled pad mount transformers closer to U.S. customers.
