Fault Location Isolation and Service Restoration
The G&W Electric LaZer Automation FLISR is a 5–38kV fault location, isolation and service restoration system for utility distribution automation and critical facilities, sold and supported in Texas and Oklahoma by Ryan Sales.
- Closed loop restoration as fast as 8 cycles
- open loop and multi-source network configurations
- decentralized or centralized control
- single-phase isolation
- up to 5-year warranty
Overview
G&W's FLISR solutions automatically locate faults, isolate the damaged section and restore service to healthy circuit segments - closed-loop schemes restore in as fast as 8 cycles. Architectures can be decentralized or centralized, communicate over fiber, cellular, radio or mesh, and support single-phase isolation to keep unaffected phases energized. With more than two decades of deployments, systems are pre-engineered or custom designed around new and existing switchgear.
