600A 35kV R-Stack Arrester

The Richards MFG 600A 35kV R-Stack Arrester (63RSA) is a 35 kV deadbreak elbow surge arrester for protecting underground cables and equipment and renewable energy collection systems, sold and supported in Texas and Oklahoma by Ryan Sales.

  • 600A
  • 35kV class
  • corona 26kV
  • AC withstand 50kV/1 min
  • BIL 150kV
Overview

The 600A 35kV R-Stack Arrester molds a male deadbreak interface directly into an elbow arrester housing, eliminating the loadbreak arrester, reducing tap plug, connecting plug and bushing extender normally required. Gapless Metal Oxide Varistor technology is housed in a fully shielded, submersible EPDM housing. The bolted connection supports higher fault currents than 200A loadbreak alternatives.

Frequently asked questions
Who sells the Richards MFG 600A 35kV R-Stack Arrester in Texas?

Ryan Sales, a manufacturers' representative based in Magnolia, Texas, sells the Richards MFG 600A 35kV R-Stack Arrester and supports customers across Texas and Oklahoma through regional reps. Call (281) 363-1106 or request a quote on this page.

What components does the 63RSA R-Stack Arrester eliminate?

The 63RSA molds a male deadbreak interface directly into an elbow arrester housing, eliminating the loadbreak arrester, reducing tap plug, connecting plug and bushing extender normally required. Its bolted connection supports higher fault currents than 200 A loadbreak alternatives, with a 40 kA symmetrical fault rating per IEEE 386.

What surge protection technology and standards does the 600A 35kV R-Stack Arrester use?

It uses gapless metal oxide varistor (MOV) technology in a fully shielded, submersible EPDM housing. The arrester meets ANSI/IEEE Std 386 and IEEE Std C62.11, is rated 600 A in the 35 kV class with a 150 kV BIL, and suits underground cables, equipment and renewable energy collection systems.
