RPFI Load Break and Fault Interrupting Switchgear
The G&W Electric RPFI is a 15–27 kV compact SF6 load break and fault interrupting switch for looped underground distribution and feeder automation, sold and supported in Texas and Oklahoma by Ryan Sales.
- 15/25kV classes
- max 15.5/27kV
- 630A continuous
- 12.5kA sym fault interrupting
- BIL 110/125kV
Overview
The RPFI packs three-phase load break switching and resettable fault interrupting into G&W's most compact and economical gas-insulated switch. Selectable industry and fuse-emulation TCC curves, visible break ways and motor automation with SEL, ABB or GE relays make it a workhorse for looped underground systems, and a vault version (VRPFI) handles submersible installations. It is widely used in feeder automation for airports, universities, industrial plants and municipal infrastructure.
