Trident-SP Single Phase Switchgear
The G&W Electric Trident-SP is a 15–27 kV single-phase spring-assisted solid dielectric load break switch for single-phase underground distribution and residential URD circuits, sold and supported in Texas and Oklahoma by Ryan Sales.
- Up to 27kV
- up to 900A continuous
- solid dielectric vacuum switching
- SafeVu visible break option
- submersible design
Overview
The Trident-SP is a single-phase, spring-assisted load break switch built on G&W's maintenance-free solid dielectric platform. It offers manual or remote reset, the SafeVu visible break option and up to 900A continuous current, giving utilities a compact way to switch and protect single-phase underground circuits. Like the rest of the Trident family it is submersible and free of SF6 gas and oil.

Frequently asked questions
Who sells the G&W Electric Trident-SP Single Phase Switchgear in Texas?
Ryan Sales, a manufacturers' representative based in Magnolia, Texas, sells the G&W Electric Trident-SP Single Phase Switchgear and has represented G&W Electric in Texas since 1984. Its regional reps support customers across Texas and Oklahoma. Call (281) 363-1106 or request a quote on this page.
How does the Trident-SP differ from the three-phase Trident models?
The Trident-SP is a single-phase, spring-assisted load break switch, while the Trident-ST, Trident-S and Trident-SR are three-phase. It is rated up to 27 kV and up to 900 A continuous, compared with a 38 kV maximum and 630 A continuous on the three-phase models. It targets single-phase underground circuits, including residential URD.
What insulation and switching technology does the Trident-SP use?
The Trident-SP uses solid dielectric insulation with vacuum switching, so it contains no SF6 gas or oil and is maintenance-free. It has a submersible design, offers manual or remote reset, and has an optional SafeVu visible break. It suits padmount and vault installations on single-phase underground circuits.
